‘Harry Potter’ star Rupert Grint Bashful Over Co-Star Kiss

Rupert Grint battled some on-set jitters while filling the forthcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. His character of Ron Weasley shares an on-screen kiss with Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson, but capturing the moment for the ginger haired actor was actually quite terrifying.

“With Emma, we were really scared,” Grint said to French magazine, Premiere. “I was a bit anxious about playing this scene, but especially anxious to be credible.”

“In the end, things went better than I had imagined, even if on the first take it was strange to see her face get so close to mine! Not to mention that we were soaked to the bone,” a bashful Grint added.

Lucky for him, the lip-locked moment only took four takes. Awwww Rupert, you’re a sweet one. (Digital Spy)

– In other related Harry Potter news, we have some sad news for die-hards out there. It seems that the first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — out worldwide on November 19 — won’t be in 3D after all. In a statement released today (October 9), Warner Bros. says a 3D format could not be completed in time for the film’s release.

“Despite everyone’s best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality. We do not want to disappoint fans who have long-anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey, and to that end, we are releasing our film day-and-date on November 19, 2010 as planned. We, in alignment with our filmmakers, believe this is the best course to take in order to ensure that our audiences enjoy the consummate “Harry Potter” experience.”
