Macca’s ‘fat’ joke at comedian James Corden

BEATLES legend PAUL MCCARTNEY tells comic JAMES CORDEN he’s too FAT to go to Africa in Comic Relief’s funniest-ever sketch.

Macca, DAVID BECKHAM, KEIRA KNIGHTLEY, RIO FERDINAND and GEORGE MICHAEL are shown arguing over which celebrity should go to Africa.

When Corden – playing Gavin & Stacey’s Smithy – volunteers, Sir Paul accuses him of being a “bloater”, adding: “People don’t like seeing tubby people over in Africa. If they hadn’t eaten so much, no one would be starving.”

Becks is also turned down as he “can’t cry”, while Keira is “too gorgeous”.

Others in the skit, written by Corden, include RUPERT GRINT, DAVINA MCCALL – and LORD COE.

A source said: “We struck gold this year with some of showbiz’s biggest names.”

Comic Relief starts next Thursday with the telethon on March 18.
