Taking tips from Twilight then? Harry Potter turns all dark in new poster campaign

It’s a look we’ve seen many times on Twilight’s Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Now the Harry Potter kids have turned all dark and brooding for their latest promotional campaign.

Warner Brothers Pictures has just released some new promotional pictures for the highly anticipated next installment in the series – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part One – and the photos have a much darker edge to them than previous franchise pictures.

The three character posters show Harry, Hermione and Ron in close up and all three appear to have an evil air about them.

Evil Eye: Emma Watson as Hermione Granger

Deathly Hallows is the seventh film in the series, based on the books by J.K. Rowling, and marks the first of a two part finale.

The studio actually split the final book into two parts with the first being released on November 19 and the second part being released next year.

In Part one the power of Voldemort, the evil wizard and ‘Dark Lord’, is growing stronger and he now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts School.

Harry, Ron and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore’s work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord.

But little hope remains for the trio, and the rest of the wizarding world, so everything they do must go as planned.

The three main stars of the films, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, shown in the new promo pictures, have become the UK’s highest paid child actors and some of the richest people under the age of 21 because of the franchise.

Part Two, which will be the last ever film in the series, will be released on July 15 2011.
